  1. 2020 Pickaway 4-H Open House

    Discover a Pickaway County 4-H club near you by attending the 4-H Open House Tuesday, November 12, 2019, 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Pickaway County Fairgrounds, Heritage Hall, 415 Lancaster Pike, Circleville. Learn about 4-H Projects, Explore what 4-H has to offer and meet current 4-H volunteers & members.

    Who Can Join 4-H?

    4-H is open to ALL youth. Youth age 5 and in kindergarten until age 8 and in third grade participate in non-competitive activities and explore fun, hands-on interest areas. These members are called Cloverbuds.

    You can now view the 2020 Ohio 4-H Family Guide online! Print versions will be available in mid November.

    This is your place to connect to our entire collection of Ohio 4-H project books for the year. Each project book contains information and activities for members to explore as an organized group project or at home under the guidance of a parent or interested adult. When choosing a project, consider your interests, background, what is necessary to start the project, and the resources available to help you complete it.

  3. 2019 Communications Contest

Put your skills to into action and enter the Pickaway County Communications Contest, planned for Thursday April 4, 2019, 6 PM at the Pickway County Extension Office Meeting Room. Whether to participate or just watch, join us for a really fun evening!

    Join us January 27 - February 2 as we celebrate Pickaway 4-H Week! This is an opportunity for us to recognize the history of 4-H in Pickaway County and to encourage new members to join.

  5. Teen Awards Training

    Dec. 03, 2018

    Teens are encouraged to apply for great awards, events, and scholarships. Need some help? Come to the Teen Awards Kick-Off Night on Thursday December 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the Ankrom Building at the Pickaway Co Fairgrounds. We’ll start the night with a little fun and then pass out information that will help you decide what to apply for and understand what you need to do to apply. You must be 14 or older as of January 1, 2019 to apply. Parents are welcome to attend with you.

  6. Junior Fair Steer Weigh In

    All Market Steers and Market Dairy Steers are required to attend weigh-in on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. For this year, the weigh-in will take place at the Ross County Fairgrounds at 344 Fairgrounds Rd, Chillicothe. 4-H and FFA members/parents must bring steers and dairy steers to the weigh-in to be eligible to show the steer(s) at the Pickaway County Fair in 2019. All steers must be dehorned and castrated before December 22.

  8. Who Can Work on Your Farm

    School will soon be ending and high school youth will be looking for summer employment.  About this time it will be baling time.  For some farms that means more labor than usual is required to get all the jobs done. That labor may include your own children or grandchildren. Today we’ll take a look at what the law allows and also consider what types of jobs kids are capable of handling from a developmental standpoint.

  9. Ohio 4-H Specialty Logo Plate Sales - Available NOW!

    The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is once again offering a specialty license plate dedicated to Ohio 4-H Youth Development and the new logo plates are now available for purchase. Show your support for Ohio 4-H by purchasing an Ohio 4-H Specialty License Plate.  A portion of the annual plate fees collected from sold and renewed plates is given directly to Ohio 4-H and is earmarked for 4-H programming.
