Twenty-five years ago Lyn Fisher and Martha Beck had a dream to establish a program to train gardening enthusiasts in research-based gardening techniques, then to use that knowledge to teach the general public. Lyn and Martha, had heard of such a program called Master Gardener Volunteers, sponsored by The Ohio State University Extension.
