Pickaway County 4-H Member Fees Increase in 2008

At their September 10, 2007, meeting, the Pickaway County 4-H Advisory Committee voted to increase 4-H membership fees from $5.00 to $7.00.  This will be effective for the coming year.  The fees have been $5.00 for several years and expenses for member and leader education, recognition and other costs continue to rise.  The committee feels the fees need to be $10.00/member, but decided to raise the fees to $7.00 this year.  The committee indicated we should start getting clubs prepared for a $10.00 membership fee which will probably begin in 2009.  The OSU Extension Office will not accept 4-H enrollments this year without first collecting the membership fees.

Rule approved by the Pickaway County Senior Fair Board..10/08/07:

Any Junior Fair awards presented at the Pickaway County Fair are to first be reviewed by the appropriate committee (s), OSU Extension Office, Junior Fair Board or Senior Fair Board.  The award must then be approved by OSU Extension and the Senior Fair Board.

State and Federal law requires that 4-H clubs turn in their EIN to the local office so that we can turn them in to the state.  If you have not already done so, please turn in your EIN to our office.  If you have questions, give us a call.  Thank you.
